Don’t Give Up On Your Dreams!

We quit too many times  or give up on our dreams because we get discouraged. Don’t give up on your dreams this easily. There’s a few things to keep in mind when goal setting to bring our dreams into reality. We all have our own setbacks and challenges. I’ve had a few of those in my lifetime. We just have to keep everything in perspective.

Don’t Give Up On Your Dreams Find Your Why

I know a lot of moms who at one time had dreams of focusing on their careers and then they find out they’re pregnant. Sometimes they let that dream slip away, or put it on the back burner for a later time. But dreams don’t have to die just because life calls. You could ask those mom’s why they wanted to focus on their career and many would say “to create a better future for myself and my future family”. The why didn’t change, just the challenge.

We have set backs or challenges. I know another woman who was diagnosed with cancer. Instead of being discouraged with her circumstances she decided she’d wasted much of her life and started on online business. She’d show up daily, make no excuses for sickness, and just get stuff done.  When I asked her what got her through it she said “I thought I was dying, and running out of time to make a difference for others”.  Her why never changed either.

Don’t Give Up On Your Dreams Balance It OutDon't Give Up On Your Dreams

We’re all human and life gives us all challenges. Challenges aren’t meant to make us give up on our dreams. They’re meant to grow us to meet or beat those challenges. We’re not suppose to shrink behind them. We’re suppose to balance them out or rise above them. The best way to keep them alive is by having a why that serves as our motivation no matter what we face.

Mom’s are finding that by working from home they can still focus on a career without giving up that important family time. Finding the balance in the challenge to make the dream a reality. Same goes for my friend that was sick with cancer. She balanced the setback by giving precedence  to living and making a difference.

To keep your dreams and goals in perspective you must have a strong why that carries you through the tough times. If it’s not important to you, you will continue to move it to the back burner and it’ll never transpire. This doesn’t mean you can’t change directions. By all means do that if that’s what your gut tells you to do. At no time ever will your gut tell you to give up on your dreams. Things may change but it’s up to you to have a why that is greater than any excuse.

Giving up is not an option…Don’t give up on your dreams!
