Do you even have a vision for your business, or is your business just a hobby?
The Power of Vision
If you are serious about building your business you must have a vision.
The first thing you need to do is determine your “Why?”
If you have a strong enough “Why” you will always find your “how.”
People won’t buy into your goals, they will buy into your vision.
Have you written out a Vision Statement?
If you haven’t you should consider doing it as soon as possible.
Here are some examples of Powerful Vision Statements:
- Microsoft: There will be a personal computer in every household running Microsoft software.
- NIKE: To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world.
- Amazon: To be the worlds most customer centric company, a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online.
Successful companies have a vision for their company and they live by their vision statement.

3 steps to becoming a Visionary:
1. Identify the Vision
- Create a compelling vision.
- Your vision must inspire you before it can inspire someone else.
2. Share your Vision with others
- Learn to share your vision and inspire others with your ideas.
- Sharing your vision is speaking it into existence.
3. Make it Real
- Learn strategies to make it real.
- Without a real strategy and implementation, your vision will not become a reality.

Once you have your Vision Statement, then write a mission statement and determine your goals. Then come up with strategies and tactics. Then create your action plan to implement.
In summary for you to be successful in business you must have a vision. Creating a vision statement and sharing it with others will help you to speak your vision into existence. You need to set goals and determine what those goals will accomplish for your business. Find your true purpose and embody it.

Speak it into existence I love that! We recently decided to move to Florida and my daughter was like don’t tell anyone. The more I thought about it the more I realized that if I talked about it more like everyday to people then I was more likely to make it happen! I loved this post!

Great post Deirdre. A vision, your why, is what will keep you going and allows you to connect with like minded people that will follow you and buy from you. A great vision will also let you change directions if for some reason your business is not working exactly. In that case you can try something new, as long as you still follow the vision.
