Are you networking on Facebook? Do you think it’s possible to make money on Facebook?
In this blog I will discuss how to use Networking on Facebook to make money.
There are ways to make money using Facebook, you just have to know what to do.
It’s important that you determine who you want to attract into your business.
There are 2 types of people to target:
- Someone in transition
- Someone who is at a breaking point.
You have to identify with people and connect with them.
Networking on Facebook
Networking on Facebook is one way to connect with people.
Building Relationships is the first step.
By building relationship you gain trust. If you just pitch your deal people will not trust you and they won’t join your business or buy your products.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is they talk about the company they are in, but what you should be doing is talking about your prospects.
Find out what they want and need. When they ask you what do you do, turn it around and ask them what they do.
Ask them, if all your bills were paid next month what would you be doing with your time.
Most people really want to talk about themselves, so you should take the time to get to know all about them and what they want and need. Try to find 3 things that you have in common within the first 5 minutes of your conversation.
Your customers will begin to know like and trust you if you focus on them. Relationships are a big part of every business.
Most people are trained in the Hype Model…
If you use the hype model you will set yourself up for failure in your business.
Be genuine…
…Connect with your customers. Find out whats going on in their life.
…Don’t talk about business…connect to break the ice and build rapport with them.
A good way to connect with people is to tell stories. This will help to change their state. It will put them at ease and the goal is to get them to open up to you.
5 Words that are helpful and that you should incorporate into your conversations are:
“tell me more about that”
You see people really do love to talk about themselves and if you ask them questions in that way they will feel comfortable to share with you. Build a relationship before you show them your business.
Share quality content on Facebook
Be sure you are sharing quality content on Facebook daily. When you do this your friends will share it.
When someone who isn’t your friend likes or comments on your posts send them a private message thanking them for their Like or comment. People will become your friend just because you took the time to message them.
Networking on Facebook won’t get your immediate income, but what it will do is gain you friends and followers. These friends and followers will be watching what you do on Facebook and eventually they will start to ask you how they can join you in your business. That is providing that you consistently provide value on your page.
So in conclusion, Networking on Facebook will help you to build relationships, gain leads and get people to know like and trust you. Those people will eventually want to join your business.

These are great tips and advice Deirdre! Networking is about building connections and understanding your prospects needs takes some time but it is well worth it in the end. Too many people are in a big hurry to ‘make a sale’ rather than understanding that cultivating your prospects and customers will far bring longevity and greater success to your business. Thanks for sharing, really great post!
Thanks Lynn! I appreciate your comments. It’s true people are in such a hurry to make the sale they lose the customer because they didn’t build a relationship.
