What Others Think Of You Is None Of Your Business
Have you ever heard the saying “what others think of you is none of your business“? What does that mean to you, or for you? What’s the lesson behind this quote? Let’s dig into what others think of you is none of your business.
To me this says “who cares what others think of you”. Maybe you’re working at making changes in your life that others don’t agree with. They might think you’re crazy, exhibiting risky behavior, or just plain lost your mind. It’s really none of your business what they think. It’s these types of thinkers that can hold you back from what you desire if you are tuning into what they are thinking rather than relying on your own thinking. Which should be filled with ambition, growth, and accomplishment. All positive things.
If you have a drive, a passion for something, whether that’s business or personal, the only person you should be worried about pleasing is yourself. You don’t want to allow other people to dictate to you what you’re capable of, or what your definition of success is. It’s not up to them. They don’t have to do the foot work. They don’t have to learn new things. Their opinion shouldn’t matter to you if you are confident in what you are doing. Their pinions don’t pay your bills, nor manage your household. Those opinions shouldn’t even be part of your thought patterns.
You don’t want to fall prey to the naysayers. Don’t listen to people who are trying to hold you back, or keep you the same. For great change to happen, great changes must be made. Especially if you just started a business. People are going to voice their opinions. Whether you like it or not, whether you’re successful or not. What you think and believe matters most.
