Success Is A Process You Go Through
Nothing great ever transpired over night. Success is a process, with some common experiences you may go through. The thing about success is that it changes you. You have to change, whether that’s the people you commonly spend time with, the places you go, or the things you do. These things sometimes are what keep you from your success. I wanted to share some of the process with you. When you expect success, you’ll want to know the signs of the process.
1) You may lose some friends
While this might shake you a little, it happens. People get to feeling some sort of way, and they don’t know how to cope with your changes. It’s not always a bad thing. Some of the people we call friends aren’t really friends. The success process has a tendency to sort them out for you. Bringing into your awareness who is for you, or who is against you. Don’t take it personally.
2) You might think you’re going crazy
New habits, and changing the way you do things effects our compartmental brains. Changing them tends to confuse us, as we ourselves are the one interrupting patterns in our lives. It can make you feel crazy until your brain settles into a new routine, or a new way of doing things. Just breathe through it all.
3) Pain is inevitable
Some changes can cause pain, not physical pain but growing pains. I like to think of pain in this manner, a chunk of coal under intense pressure turns in a diamond. If the chunk of coal said “it’s too painful, I can’t do this” it would never achieve the diamond state. Understand it’s a process.

4) You will have doubts
You may try to talk yourself out of your decisions. This is such a common symptom of progress. It’s good to question things, but remember to answer them. Our own doubts sometimes have the capacity to paralyze us. Doubt your doubts and combat them with your why’s.
5) You will lose money
Nobody likes to hear that but I believe in transparency. There are many reasons people lose money. Improper planning, impulsive buys, not wholly understanding something are ways people will lose money. Or by taking risks. If you’re presented with something that costs money determine how it fits in your business. If it doesn’t, don’t spend the money. Easier said than done but don’t beat yourself up over losing money. It’s your decisions, learn from them.
6) Frustration and crying
Okay crying is optional, but frustration comes to us all when we are doing new things, or changing habits. Frustration is a mark point of “maybe I don’t know what I’m doing”, or “I’m overwhelmed”. Mostly it’s from self expectation and not living up to what we think we’re capable of. Bring it down and get at what you think is causing the frustration. Cry it out if you have to. Acknowledge it, and assess it to determine the what and why of the frustration, then fix it. Tears are signs of a coming breakthrough.

7) Family and friends may discourage you
Mostly this is out of their own fears. They see you changing, and doing new or different things. Many can’t understand your desire, or your whys. You don’t owe them an explanation beyond “I’m doing this for greater purpose than I can explain”. Don’t try to convince them, or defend your decisions. When you get to where you’re going they’ll understand better.
8) Weird habits form
You’ve changed your patterns, and some of them will seem weird. Staying up later, getting up earlier, having a new outlook. You’ll wonder how you acquired these weird habits. They are part of the process. Some you will keep, and some will only be there in the beginning as you get going. Embrace the weirdness, normalcy is over rated anyhow.
9) People will show hate toward you for no particular reason
A lot of times people can get subconsciously jealous toward you. They will say things that ire you, or make you doubt what you’re doing. Mostly it’s that they wish they had the same courage to make the great changes that you’re making. Don’t take it personally.
10) It will all be worth it
It may sound like a trying time, discouraging even. Nobody said it was going to be easy, just that it will be worth it. And it’s soooo worth it!!
I hope these ten things that are a process to success help you get through your journey with better understanding. Comment below if you have feedback, or if you’ve been experiencing some of these things. Let’s share insights, I’d love to hear your thoughts
