Women In Their 50’s Can Adjust To Life Changes
With all the life changes that women in their 50’s have faced there’s one major one this is frequently missed. We can adjust to health care and family role changes as women. We may choose to focus on family over career, or vice versa. We’re strong, flexible, and able to adjust. We forget to consider how we’re going to continue to financially support our lifestyles. Or maybe, we did plan well but something else changed and now it’s not anything near what we planned for in life. As women in our 50’s we have to come together and adjust to life changes just as we’ve done in the past. Our financial state, its future, and how that reflects on our legacy should be at the forefront of what we’re doing right now.
Women In Their 50’s As Top Income Earners
One avenue many women in their 50’s may not be aware of is mlm or network marketing. Times are changing faster than ever and we must adjust or lose. We’ve been through the technology boom and we literally have a world of answers at our fingertips. The internet is a wealth of knowledge and education we can freely absorb. What may have seemed scam or hoax income opportunities in the 80’s and 90’s are now huge booming businesses. Think of the major players like Amway, Herbalife, or Avon. Network marketing and MLM is dominated by women, and many of them are women in their 50’s just like you and I.
What these women have done is stay committed to a decision. A decision that gives them freedom when over 50. They may have started with only an hour a day because they were working a full-time job, or tending to their family needs. Yet they put aside the time and worked their businesses remarkably well. 5 years later they can now afford to quit their jobs, take family vacations, and do leisure things they’ve dreamed of.
What happened here? This isn’t our mother’s way of doing things anymore. We must adjust or sacrifice more dearly than we already have. If you’re not a top income earner in your field a lot of the dreams you had regarding time for travel or spending time with family have literally dried up. It’s not too late to go after your dreams. Women In Their 50’s Adjusting To The Death Of Retail
Some of us women in our 50’s have had to work in retail as an income supplement, or as a last resort for employment. And the retail market is drying up. Yes, it’s true, many major companies we’ve known and trusted our whole lives are closing their doors. K-Mart. Sears, and even the more recent big box stores like Walmart are taking a hit. This means less last resort employment for us. Or it could be an opportunity in disguise.
When we see the doors closing we must look for the doors that are opening. It’s not the death of shopping, just the death of retail stores. People have started making online purchases in greater numbers. In fact such growth is what’s causing the other stores to close. Shopping online is more convenient, saves time and money, and let’s you shop without fighting traffic or pushy crowds. The costs of running a brick and mortar store far exceed the costs of running an online business.
The good news is we don’t have to “throw the baby out with the bath water”. We need only to adjust to the changing times. I’m a woman in my 50’s. I still work a regular job and my husband is also employed. We have grown children and grandchildren we adore. 20 years ago I would’ve told you we planned well for our future and our children’s future. We’ve made it here but we’ve also had to adjust along the way. One way we’ve adjusted is by taking advantage of opportunities to do things differently. By looking at these trends, and seeing other women in their 50’s struggling, I made a decision to do things differently.
How Women In Their 50’s Are Adjusting
Currently I own an online T-Shirt and Novelty item store and I’m an independant rep for another company called MyLeadSystemPro. Both go hand in hand when it comes to my business. MLSP has the tools and trainings I need to run my store properly online. The training inside literally covers every aspect of marketing when it comes to online sales. My store could run without it just not as efficiently. MLSP membership comes with a blog you can personalize, social media training, and customizable funnels that let you literally sell anything you want. Any business will find value in MLSP.
So what does that have to do with us ladies over 50 years old?
It means income opportunity galore! If you can shop from home why not work from home? Why wait for more things to happen that you have to adjust to? You can build your own legacy! Like I said, “the mlm industry is dominated by women” and “retail is dying”. Anybody can learn to earn online. You can’t wait forever but you can start today!
