Doing Taxes Do You Do Yours Right Away

So it’s a Saturday night and I’m home doing taxes. I’m wondering if most people get them done right away or if they wait until closer to the April deadline? I’ve always been one that does them as quickly as possible. I like to get them out of the way. I know some people wait until closer to the deadline, while others don’t. Do you do your taxes yourself, or do you have a specialist do them for you?

Doing taxes is a chore, and in cases where you owe in, it can be grueling. In most families, I believe they do them sooner than later. Especially families that are struggling living paycheck to paycheck. In some areas tax specialists allowed people to start their returns with just their last pay stub for the year. Which to me says not only are a lot of families struggling but also a lot of companies, including tax preparers.

Most businesses making over a certain amount of money are actually required to do quarterly taxes. Meaning they’re doing taxes every three months. This is why in business you will here terms in quarters, and usually referenced as Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. As an online business person I wanted to bring this to your attention. Not everyone realizes business taxes are different than employment taxes. They can be more complicated because you have to have more documentation than just a W2 supplied by your employer. Employed people are usually held back waiting for their employer to give the W2’s. By law they are required to do so by Jan. 31st. Many tax places don’t start taking appts until mid January due to this timeline.

Anyhow, I just wanted to give you some “doing taxes” value. I’m going to get back to enjoying my Saturday night with my family. Knowing I’ve moved this off task to the done list. Are you doing taxes early this year?

Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope you got some value.

Leave me a comment below I would love to hear your thoughts.
