10 Steps To Transform Your Self Esteem

Can you believe it? Today is day 23 of my 30 day Facebook live challenge! Tonight I’d like to share with you the 10 Steps To Transform Your Self Esteem.

I’m reading a book called “The 24-Hour Turnaround:Discovering the Power to Change” By Neil Eskelin and Jim Hartness. I took some notes while I was reading part of it, 10 steps to transform your self esteem.

1) Get to know the real you
Get a clear picture of what is going on inside of you. To do this you’re going to have to do some self searching, soul-searching, to get a real understanding of what goes on inside of you. What makes you tick? Do you understand why you react that way? Things like that.

2) Laugh at your flaws
Nobody truly recognizes our flaws like we ourselves do. When we can laugh at our flaws or quirks we mentally dis-empower them from negatively effecting our outcome.

3) Put your failures into perspective
How many times did you fall off your bike on your first attempt to ride? How about when you learned to tie your shoes? Did you get it the first try or did you first fail? Failure is a side effect of learning, expect it.

4) Develop a healthy love for yourself
When you have a healthy love for self, your confidence rises. Your mental clarity is stronger, and physical stamina is strengthened.

5) Find someone who needs your help and offer it
Whether it’s volunteering at a food shelf or homeless shelter, or chaperoning a student field trip, being of service helps you understand your place in the world, and fills you with feel good.

6) Change your habits
We’ve all got some habits that could use replacing. What you do routinely becomes habit, some of those habits can hold us back from being the best version of ourselves. Look your habits over, change what you can.

7) Choose a creative challenge
Creative challenges (like my 30 FB lives in 30 days) can encourage self growth, raise confidence, and open your mind to new things, or possibilities.

8) Get comfortable with compliments
Just say “thank you” and politely accept the compliment. Don’t devalue yourself by saying “oh it was nothing”. It was something or they wouldn’t be complimenting you.

9) Revalue your worth
Avoid talking about yourself, or to yourself, in the negative. You have to know you are worthy, so tell yourself every chance you can “I am worthy”.

10) See a brand new picture
Invision yourself the way you want to be and focus on that. Focus on what you want to be and not on what you don’t want to be.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope you got some value.
