Simple Tips For Branding Your Business

Branding is an important step for startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. It gives your customers, or audience something to associate with you, your business, or product/service. Industry statistics show purchases being made after a person has associated with your brand 5-7 times. Understanding the need, and the stats I put together 5 tips for branding your business.

Branding Your Business

1) What Do Your Customers Want?

Knowing your target market, and understanding what they want is vital. Assess your customer avatar, are they looking for speedy delivery? You would want a brand that associates speedy delivery to your audience through your brand. Maybe it’s money savings, you would want your brand to speak that.

2) Consistency Is Key

You need to be clear on your message, and deliver your message again and again. We know large brands today (Coca Cola, Nike, McDonalds, etc) due to their consistent effort to deliver their message along with their brand. Stay consistent with your brand, and the message you want customers to relate to.

3) Be Unique Think Outside The Box

With information being regurgitated you’ll want to stand out with a unique brand and message. Whether it’s your logo, your ad copy, your advertising, or your story line. Think outside the box and create something unique to you and your brand or message. It will set you apart from others, which should be a goal. What set’s you apart from others with same or similar offerings?

4) Keep It Simple

Your logo, your text, and your image ads should be kept simple. Meaning your wording should be easy to read, your message should be short and to the point. Think of Nike, “Just Do It”, short, simple, easy to read, and right to the point. Simplicity rules!

5) Use Content To Speak The Voice of Your Brand

When considering your branding strategy you’ll want to use different types of content to speak for your business. This can be images, textual, or visually engaging content like video. Use these tools to speak for your business.
