Do You Wonder Where Faith Fits Into Business?

With so much turmoil in the world today it makes me wonder where have people put faith into their lives. I mean, being a believer, we carry faith with us, yet we falter at times. Bringing faith with us, and integrating faith into our business builds upon both our Spiritual foundation and our business foundation.

You must know your core beliefs and how they can impact your business. That doesn’t mean you have to label your business as a “Christian Business”. Although it does boldly state your beliefs are integrated into your business. It can be more subtly applied for effectiveness. You don’t want non-believers thinking you can’t serve them only due to labeling yourself as something they perceive as not for them. Once clear on what it means to integrate your faith into your business you can proceed.

integrating faith into your business

1) Your faith should shape your meaning

How does what you do matter? Does it help others see God in a real way? Decide how your business serves others beyond your products and services. Tithing to charity organizations is a good way to give back, and shape your meaning.

2) Your faith should shape your motives

When the purpose of business is to make money, things can kind of get jumbled up. Some entrepreneurs have beliefs and ideas about money that is rooted with the wrong motives. Your motives should be to bring yourself or others closer to God. Money can be used as a tool to provide for many, or few. Many get caught up in greed due to unchecked motives, and faith gets put on the back burner. If you do all things in faith, with faith, your motives will be clear. There is no room for wishy washy faith in business, or otherwise. If your motives are part of God’s will for your life this can draw much toward you.

3) Your faith should shape your marketing

Being authentically you isn’t always easy. We sometimes tend to put on different faces for different situations. Your marketing should be shaped by your faith. Keep true to yourself, your message, and most importantly to God. Be mindful of the images and messages you’re using in your marketing. Are you subtly speaking your faith?
