Did you know that diapers can help your plants grow?
I came across a really cool video by Grant Thompson – The King of Random that I thought was pretty cool so I thought I would share it with you.
In the video Grant shows how using the filling in diapers you can make a fiber rich hydro gel for your plants.
I love plants, but sometimes I forget to water them. This is the solution to killing your plants for lack of water.

In the video Grant states that you should leave the gel white so you cause your plants to turn colors.
He describes that you break open a diaper and mix equal part of gel and potting soil to make a super soil.
Then add some potting soil to the bottom of the pot add your plant and then pack the rest with the super soil.
By doing this your plants will be able to go twice as long between watering. The crystals hold up to 500 times their water.
He also states that the crystals are non-toxic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
You can also use the gel to grow seeds and for cut flowers.
